In August 2011 at the Russian International Air Show (MAKS), a pure Stealth Fighter-Bomber for the Russian Armed Forces was displayed for the very first time. The T-50, a 5th Generation combat aircraft is equipped with electronically controlled vector nozzles, which guarantee excellent manoeuvrability and outstanding handling characteristics in all speed ranges. The T-50 has achieved up to 85% Stealth success through the use of special nano-technology materials on its outer surfaces. In order to fully utilize its stealth characteristics and small radar signature all of the T-50's weapons are housed in a weapons bay within the fuselage. As well as a top speed of over 2000 km/h (1250 mph) great emphasis was placed on the low speed flight characteristics of the T-50 which was enhanced by the use of electronically controlled leading edge slats. It is envisaged that mass production of between 400 and 450 aircraft for the Russian Air Force will commence in 2016.

In the middle of 1944 the Imperial Air Ministry awarded a contract for the construction of a Flying-wing, long-range, high speed bomber capable of carrying a 4,000 kg bomb load. Attacks on the USA were to be undertaken using this bomber during World War 2. In its basic design the Ar/E 555 was a first generation Stealth Aircraft. Powered by six BMW 109-003A engines, the Ar/E 555 could have reached a top speed of 860 km/h. At the end of December 1944 all further work on the Ar/E 555 was stopped by order of the Imperial Air Ministry due to the lack of raw materials caused by the War.

The TPz 1 (armoured load carrier) Fuchs A4 is an armoured cross-country 6x6 vehicle that was originally designed as a straightforward transporter. The Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) was an army corps of British Empire forces that was original formed in Australian and New Zealand in the First World War. During the Second World War the ANZAC was again used in the battle for Greece. Then the units participated in the defence of Crete against the German invasion.

The U.S.S. Kearsarge (LDH-3) is a modern US Navy amphibious assault ship of the Wasp Class. On board there are about 40 aircraft (helicopters and vertical take-off planes), numerous combat vehicles and up to 1,894 troops of the Marine Corps. In addition the floodable stern well deck holds a number of landing craft which transport the vehicles and troops to shore. The main role of these ships is to support marine landings. In addition each LHD has extensive medical facilities for up to 600 wounded. The vessel which is 257.2 m long has a crew of about 1,100 men. The fifth generation of the world-famous US sports car has been in production since March 2009. Visually the retro design of the Camaro is influenced by its predecessor that came out over 40 years ago. So this Camaro also has a beefy front, a long drawn out bonnet, a squat roof and a comparatively short rear, but all translated into modern styling. This sports car is driven by a beefy V8 engine which is typical for a pony car. In the case of the Camaro Super Sports, SS for short, that is a 6.2 litre V8 small-block engine with a capacity of 432 bhp/318 kW and a legendary 570 Nm torque. The SS sprints to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds. According to the manufacturer the top speed is about 250 km/h, even though the sonorous rumble of the engine indicates much more potential.

Darth Maul's personal spaceship is conspicuous for its unusually long nose. Its best feature by far is the camouflage system that makes it invisible to most sensors. The equipment is operated by the rare and costly stygium crystals that are only obtainable on the Aeten II planets in the outer rim, so that hardly any such camouflage systems are found on other spacecraft. In addition to its six concealed laser cannon, the Infiltrator carries a broad range of additional equipment, including Darth Maul's Speeder and various Droid sensors. The powerful ion drive gives it high speeds in space, while the Sienar SSDS hyper spacedrive only offers medium speeds. The Infiltrator is known for the pursuit of the Jedi on Tatooine and was discovered on Naboo after the showdown with Qui Gon-Jinn. The origin of this spacecraft is unknown, but that it is connected with the Sienar System research laboratory is shown by the round cockpit, also a feature of the TIE Fighter series. Darth Maul is one of the Zabrak people and comes from the planet Iridonia. He is recognizable by the round horns on his head.

This agile and fast spaceship is used by the Naboo space battle corps. Armed with twin laser cannon and proton torpedoes, despite its unprepossessing appearance, it is a respectable fighter, although it is primarily used for patrol and escort duties. The design was created by Naboo engineers. The ship has its own hyper-space-drive. For navigation support and minor repairs the Droids who are accommodated behind the cockpit are used. The unusual shape can be explained by the focus on minimum noise and emissions when flying in the atmosphere of the home planet. Anakin Skywalker operated the Naboo fighter in episode I on the control ship of the Droid troops and ended the conflict on Naboo with the destruction of the large space station

First flown on the 21st August 1978, the Sea Harrier FRS1 was the Naval version of the RAF's Harrier GR3 and the first of the V/STOL fighters to see service with the Royal Navy.

The FRS-1 ("Figher, Reconnaissance, Strike") served in the Falklands War with great distinction.  It mainly operated from aircraft carriers positioned within the conflict zone.  Its usage in the Falklands War was its most high-profile and importance success, where it was the only fixed-wing fighter available to protect the British Task Force.  The Sea Harriers shot down 20 enemy aircraft during the conflict with one loss to enemy fire.  They were also used to launch ground attacks.

During the Battle over Coruscant which took place at the beginning of the action thriller "Star Wars III - the Revenge of the Sith", Anakin Skywalker and his teacher Obi-Wan Kenobi were ordered to free Grand Chancellor Palpatine from the hands of the enemy Confederate Army. Anakin Skywalker sets out accompanied by his resourceful robot R2-D2 with the small Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter. The Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter is the most advanced fighter plane ever made. Anakin's state-of-the-art fighter has yellow markings, reminiscent of his podracer that freed him from slavery on Tattoine. Yellow markings were also carried by the Airspeeder with which he hunted the bounty-hunter Zam Wessel through the streets of Coruscant. Anakin is reputed to be the "best pilot in the galaxy" and his manoeuvres take the Starfighter right to the limits of its capabilities. These dare-devil manoeuvres are extremely successful, but not always...........

During the Battle over Coruscant, of the central political world, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker embark on their most important mission for the Republic. Both Jedi are instructed to release the Grand Chancellor from the hands of the enemy Confederate Army. Side by side the two Jedi battle their way through until they have fulfilled their dangerous mission. Like the young Skywalker, Obi-Wan also has the use of a little Eta-2, one with dark red markings. The Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter is the most highly developed fighter ever built. At 12,000 km/h it reaches a speed that few enemies can equal. The Starfighter, much smaller and lighter than its predecessors and therefore more manoeuvrable, can even fly at the speed of light. The cockpit contains fewer complex instruments, so that it does not need a co-pilot. Obi-Wan can only call on one R2. Due to its small size and low weight the Jedi Starfighter is capable of dare-devil, death-defying manoeuvres .......

In support of Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Battle of Coruscant, the two Jedi are escorted by a squadron of ARC-170 fighters (= aggressive reconnaissance fighters). Absolutely loyal to the Republic, the clone pilots have the mission of diverting the Trade Federations fighters and clearing the way for the Jedi. With the inbred obedience that they received in the Kamino breeding station, these brave fighters voluntarily sacrifice themselves, so that the Jedi can fulfill their mission. However, the Clone pilots also have access to the skills of the bounty hunter Jango Fett and place themselves in the path of the enemy undaunted by death. The reconnaissance fighter has a class 1.5 hyperdrive and carries torpedoes and laser cannons. It is therefore less manoeuvrable than the Jedi Starfighter and the fate of the ARC-170 is decided solely by the know-how of the three-man crew.....

Although General Grievous, Commander-in-Chief of the droid armies, prefers direct combat, he flies a battle-scarred starfighter that was made by the firm Feethan Ottraw Scalable. As it was designed for living pilots, this ship equipped with a Class 6 Hyperdrive has a life support system, is large sized and is of a more robust construction than other droid fighters. Due to its ion drive, this fast, strong ship has the capability to keep pace with the MagnaGuard fighters. The manoeuvrable engines needed for its high agility are built into the wings. The rapid firing laser cannons provide really destructive fire power. General Grievous uses the ship to travel to his lair on the Vassek moon where he can obtain repairs to damage suffered during battle. Formerly a decorated Kaleesh warlord, he underwent cyborg enhancements so he could better fight the Jedi.

The All-Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE), an armoured combat vehicle of the Republican Clone army, moves on six articulated legs. The legs are relatively short which in fact restrict its speed, but increase its stability. The body of the AT-TE consists of two well-armoured halves that are linked together by a flexible centre part. As the AT-TE combines high speed and stability with all-terrain capability, it is even able to climb up steep inclines. In this way the AT-TE can also reach higher positions and can bring the troops to highly inaccessible areas. The AT-TE was developed to quickly gain control of large battle fields. It has an extensive arsenal of different weapons systems - including a large traversing projectile cannon on the top - that can even present a hazard for enemy battleships.

This tactical troop transport was made by the Cygnus Spaceworks for the Republican Clone Army. It is suitable for attack, but has only two double-barrelled guns, that are nevertheless very effective. It is particularly remarkable for its Class 1 hyper-space drive, indicating a very powerful type of engine. The V-19 Torrent also has the same drive system, which is available to hardly any enemy Separatist type of ship. The power of the engine underlines the importance of the ship for the rapid transport of personnel and equipment. This shuttle, often used to transport Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker, is driven by two clone pilots.

From 1965 until the end of 1966 the U.S. Space Agency NASA tested the technology and processes required in Space for a manned Lunar landing and return to Earth. During this period they launched ten manned and two unmanned missions using the "Gemini" space craft. In addition to controlled re-entry, the first changes in position and orbit, long-duration flights, docking manoeuvres and "Space Walk" missions were undertaken. A modified two-stage Titan II launch vehicle from the U.S. Air Force was used to launch of the 3.5-ton spacecraft. In the case of an aborted launch or an accident during landing, the astronauts were able to catapult themselves out of the capsule using their ejection seats. The Astronaut's protective suit consisted of 23 layers of fabric and weighed 13 kilograms. Out of a pool of 30 NASA astronauts, the experienced aviator Virgil I"Gus" Grissom was chosen to be "Mission Commander" and John W. Young to be the pilot of the first manned flight of the "Gemini" program. After a four-hour flight on 23 March 1965 the capsule "Molly Brown" from "Gemini 3" landed safely in the Atlantic Ocean.

In 2011 Reconnaissance Squadron 51 "Immelmann" took part in the "NATO TIGER MEET" for the second time. With a the aircraft wearing a completely new paint scheme it won, as in 2009 the award for he best special livery. To mark the 50th anniversary of the NATO Tiger Association in 2011 a Tiger design was applied to the upper surfaces whilst the empennage was decorated with a Panther design. The tornado is still one of the most significant fighter aircraft in NATO and due to its outstanding flying characteristics and modern electronic equipment forms the backbone of Europe's air defenses.

From 1967 onwards the Westland Wessex HAS Mk3 was used by the Royal Navy in the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) role. Developed from the S-58, the HAS Mk3 received a more powerful version of the Napier Gazelle engine, a new radar system and a comprehensive flight control system. Due to the characteristic radome on top of the fuselage she was nicknamed "The Camel". The last successful deployment of the Wessex HAS Mk3 was during the Falklands War. In 1983 they were decommissioned. "Humphrey" of No. 737 NAS aboard HMS Antrim gained fame by sinking an Argentinian submarine.

On 20th November 1811 a businessman called Friedrich Krupp founded a new firm under the name "Friedrich Krupp". The enterprise achieved a break-through with the development of seamlessly rolled tyres for railway wheels. In 1887 Krupp, together with Rudolf Diesel, developed the first diesel engine suitable for series production. In 1919 the subsidiary KRAWA (Fried. Krupp motor and lorry works) built their first lorry, a 5 tonner with 45 hp engine and four-speed gearbox. In October 1950 the Krupp Titan was exhibited to the public at the Paris Motor Show. It was one of the most imposing heavy-duty lorries of the 1950s. Everything was new, in particular the Type SW 6 engine, a 210 hp 6-cylinder, 2-stroke diesel. This capacity made the Titan the most powerful long-haul lorry produced in Germany at the beginning of the 50s. Even the chassis was redesigned. So the SWL 80 - as it was called in the 8 ton flatbed version - received a roomy cab with space for four people. Externally the designer had been strongly influenced by the styling of American cars, with particular reference to the large rounded bonnet.

The French "Jeanne d'Arc" (R97) was used as a helicopter carrier from 1964 until June 2010. 6 to 10 helicopters were stationed on board. Primarily used as a training vessel for naval officers, she last saw active service rescuing French hostages from the clutches of Somali pirates.

The E-4B is a military version of the Boeing 747-200. It serves with the USAF as an Airborne Command Post in crisis areas. Operating as a National Airborne Operations Centre the E-4B ensures continuous Command and Control for the U.S. Government in times of war or major natural disasters, should land-based communications systems fail. In this role the aircraft provides a modern, well equipped command, control and communications centre with excellent survival characteristics. The main deck is divided into six operating areas. It can accommodate up to 114 personnel. The E-4B is fitted with defensive equipment to counter EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) which is emitted during nuclear explosions. The aircraft's "Time on Task" can be extended up to three days with the use of air-to-air refuelling. Of the four aircraft of this type, one is constantly at the "Combat Ready" state.

Bismarck took part in only one operation during her brief career.  She, and the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen, left Gotenhafen on the morning of 19th May 1941 for Operation Rheinübung, during which she was to have attempted to intercept and destroy convoys in transit between North America and Great Britain.

When Bismarck and Prinz Eugen attempted to break out into the Atlantic, the two ships were discovered by the Royal Navy and brought to battle in the Denmark Strait.  During the short engagement, the British battlecruiser HMS Hood, flagship of the Home Fleet and pride of the Royal Navy, was sunk after several minutes of firing.  In response, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill issued the order to “Sink the Bismarck”, spurring a relentless pursuit by the Royal Navy.

Two days later, with Bismarck almost in reach of safer waters, Fleet Air Arm Swordfish biplanes launched from the carrier HMS Ark Royal torpedoed the ship and jammed her rudder, allowing heavy British units to catch up with her.  In the ensuing battle on the morning of 27th May 1941, Bismarck was heavily attacked for almost two hours before sinking.

The six waterline 1:1200 scale models, HMS Cossack, HMS Suffolk, HMS Hood, Bismarck, HMS Ark Royal and Prinz Eugen, in this set represent the main ships in this action, and are a must for any warship modeller, collector or historian of any age.

In 1941 improved versions of both the Spitfire and Messerschmitt 109 entered the skies. This set has the two classic aircraft in 1:48 scale to build and display on the dogfight double stand.
